What makes a newly graduated engineer from MIT in Boston, a business student from NHH in Bergen, and a medical student from Karolinska in Stockholm spend their summer at a Norwegian health technology company?
Perhaps it has to do with the type of challenges Journalia is working to solve: complex, important, and closely connected to the everyday work of healthcare professionals. Challenges like these attract people who want to build something that truly matters.
This summer, the Journalia team is strengthened by five interns. Together, they reflect where Journalia is heading: growth, international ambitions, clinical grounding, and deep expertise in artificial intelligence.
In a world where technology, healthcare, and artificial intelligence are moving fast, fresh perspectives are essential. Students are often close to new knowledge, new tools, and new ways of thinking. That is exactly why the internship program at Journalia is important: students get to work closely with a growing company, while Journalia brings in people who challenge established thinking, learn quickly, and contribute perspectives that are valuable for the road ahead.

Tarjei Hage | Tech Intern
On the technology side, Journalia is joined by Tarjei, who recently completed a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at MIT in Boston. There, he researched the training of LLMs and agentic AI, and he also helped organize the MIT Energy Conference, the world's largest student-led energy conference. Tarjei brings specialized expertise in artificial intelligence and technology that is highly relevant for the road ahead.
Kristine Olrud Moen | Business Intern
Kristine joins from NHH with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration, bringing a strong academic foundation from one of Norway's leading business schools. At Journalia, she works on the business side, contributing with structure, analysis, and commercial understanding.
Mathias Olaussen | Growth Intern
With a bachelor's degree in Digital Business Development from NTNU, Mathias combines technological understanding with practical experience from building his own company. Alongside his studies, he founded the fitness brand Accelerex, and he is particularly interested in AI and how new technology can be put into practice.
Jon Brøndmo | Growth Intern
Jon studies entrepreneurship and international management, and has already gained broad international experience through studies in Australia, Singapore, South Africa, and Lisbon. He brings a global perspective that aligns well with Journalia's ambitions.
Hallvard Dommerud | Growth Intern
Hallvard is already familiar with Journalia, and this summer he is back on the team. After spending time at Karolinska, one of Scandinavia's leading medical research environments, he brings valuable insight and a clear clinical perspective to the work.
Journalia is very happy to have Mathias, Jon, Hallvard, Kristine, and Tarjei on the team this summer.
